Repaired and slightly improved forum banner in blog

I've resized the banner so that the whole thing is visible in our class blog. Yes, it seems a little small, but its clearly visible. Now we just need to get ppl to click on it to come here...

Anyhow, I'll always try to help this forum whenever possible when it comes to using the class blog.

I think we should advertise our club and forum like asking more people from anywhere to join even though they might not be from taylor. I think we should let people discuss about physics here too as its a part of maths? is tat ok with u, basheer?

All this things about the maintaince of the forum like banner and stuffs its better to discuss it in the Basket. Less people can see it = better
anyway only admin can change it so less discuss all this in the basket

I think we can pretty much discuss anything related to maths. Like mechanics, stats, etc. And the forums we can have is many so maybe someday we could have a "general science" section...

i suggest that we get approval from the office to post up all those advertistment around the main campus, and if possible, stretch to ADP building too. But of course, before we do so, we have to be very sure what we're gonna do in our meetings. Like the Engineering Club, if all we do is watch videos and plan what to do, we are better off without the club. Lets make every meeting a "look-out for" event

I agree. In the constitution it was set out that we discuss about problem solving strategies and apply them. In the meetings people just present probelms while others try to solve the.

I think we should be very clear about what will happen in the club when we advertise it. We want people to know that the club will help improve their probelm solving skills which is useful in events like the Euclid Contest or Olympiad.

yes, i also suggest that besides the usual club meetings, maybe we can even offer our own volunteerily peer-to-peer services, to help them without want anything in return! This will produce the same mutualism effect as the recognized peer-to-peer!

Also, like what Brian said, we should not limit our questions to just Maths and FMaths problems, but even Chemistry and Physics should be greatly considered, as long as they involve calculation of course! Because after all, no matter if its mctheta or piRsquare, they are still mathematical formulae and we specialise in mathematical formulae.

You guys should move this to the Discussion section(or whatever you call it), where important plans are put into.

Well if its about the maintaince of the forum and such the Basket is the perfect place as it is the place where we can plan how the forum is run. However we should set up a suggestion sub-forum so members can leave suggestions in improving the forum

i dun think we shud haf a basket or whatever because this is a forum, and public ideas are very much needed. In occasions where public interference is not favorable, like example, rules and regulations, we can lock that topic. Therefore, a basket is not necessary if you ask me

locking a topic means its still viwable by others but only that regular members cannot post in it.

Basket is necessary when you only want admins and moderators to discuss.
I say keep the basket. Make "About the forum" forum and then put the welcome message + rules into it.

but lets name it something more official, like Inquiries and Suggestions, then subtopic would be maths blog and maths club
